Scrufts K9 one of the oldest established pet business in the region, specialising in the world of dogs for some thirty years, delivering dog food and biscuits to the customers door, during the week and attending dog shows at the weekend selling their products.

These dog shows opened the doors to delivering to dog owners over a much larger area, along with deliveries to boarding kennels as well. Twenty years ago the business changed its image a little, by joining forces with the newly formed Scrufts Grooming .this meant that daughter Theresa joined the family set up.

Theresa who had set up business with the help of the Princes Youth Trust, after being trained by Angela........at that time two of the top groomers in the UK, she put her skills to good use in Competitions including Finalist in the prestigious Eurogroom competition. She soon decided to concentrate on her business and nowadays she has a customer base with customers spread across the southern counties and up through East Anglia.

The business recently moved location into central Chelmsford from Writtle on the outskirts. Here in our detached business unit we offer our own car parking area, adjacent to the building, and inside we have our high spec fitted grooming parlour, with tuition available, we also offer a teeth cleaning service along with micro chipping.

Due to the space available here at Beehive Lane, we offer a Doggy Day-care Service, where we look after and amuse your pet, while you get on with that hospital visit, theatre trip, extra days work, and act. Pet taxi service is available.

We have also introduced a home boarding service where we can look after you beloved pet in the comfort of our own home.

Front of house in the business is Scrufts k9.All Things Canine, Suppliers not only to the Public but to the Trade, Breeders and Kennels along with Groomers.

Here we stock a large range of foods , including the new Photoset Herbal Range of Foods, a range of Complete foods, Herbal Shampoos and Herbal Supplement , tried, tested, and recommended by top show people & groomers. Scrufts have been the distributors of many complete dog food companies for many years these include, Burns Pet Nutrition, James Well beloved, Land of Holistic Pets, Salters, Arden Grange, Skinners, Healthy Paws Royal Cain.

And of course our own label Scrufts k9 brand. We supply a wide range of professional grooming tools and equipment, an on line catalogue is available for these. We are proud to acknowledge our range of handmade natural shampoos, and grooming sprays along with spray on colognes.

Our range of handmade herbal supplements and homeopathic tinctures is forever growing with bespoke powders being produced and such is the success of our products many carry a money back guarantee.

Along with the above mentioned we carry a range of elk skin leather leads unique for its softness and strength, nylon and rope leads and collars for all breeds of dogs, cages, bedding, treats and biscuits, dog coats and much more, all this is available in store, on-line, and a free delivery service in most cases.
